At the same time construction began on the HO-scale layout, the BSME's rejuvinated N-scale division also began work on their new layout, a double-deck affair that will also include two helixes to move trains between the upper and lower decks.

Like the HO layout, the N-scale layout will also go through walls. In this case, the two level staging yard will be constructed in a portion of the building's kitchen. Here members enlarge an existing opening that had previously served as a food service window.
