Resources—magazines and standards organizations

National Model Railroad Association (NMRA)	The Web pages of the National Model Railroad Association. The NMRA is the largest organization devoted to the development, promotion, and enjoyment of the hobby of model railroading. These web pages will tell you more about the NMRA: the benefits of membership for those interested in the model railroading hobby, how the NMRA is organized, where and when our upcoming conventions will be held, and how you can use the NMRA to further your enjoyment of model railroading.
Model Railroader Magazine	Another must visit site. Model Railroader, produced by Kalmbach Publishing Co., is the world's most popular model railroading magazine. Each monthly issue covers all popular scales with challenging how-to projects, visits to remarkable layouts, reviews of new products, and amazing color photos.
Mainline Modeler Articles	This page contains pointers to web versions of the series of articles on electronic control modules which were published in Mainline Modeler magazine beginning in October 1993. Many of the modules described in this series are available as kits or assembled and tested circuits from TracTronics Incorporated.
The Layout Design SIG	A small site publicizing the Layout Design Special Interest Group (SIG), a nonprofit educational organization that aids efforts to design and create layouts that achieve owners layout goals (with minimum space and cost), avoid common design flaws, and include prototypical and model design features that maximize operating and visual interest.
N-Trak Railroading Society, Inc.	The national N-Trak organizations very extensive Web site. If you're interested in N-scale modular layouts, this site is a must. Includes: historical notes NTRAK standard links track plans NTRAK meets, and more
Bend Track	This site has been set up to aid the growing community of Bend Trackers across the country. Bend Track is a modular system for N-scale model railroading.
Frequently Answered Questions	This page contains pointers to the seven sections of the Frequently Answered Questions (FAQ) of the Usenet newsgroup rec.models.railroad.
Cyberspace World Railroad	Lots of great information and links to other great railroad sites. Monthly features include railfan photos, useful files, operating rules, and a reference section.

The Model Railroad Mall	Walther's on-line presence is a must visit for anyone interested in model railroading.
United States Hobby Shop List	Talk about extensive. This list currently contains 1157 model railroad-related hobby shops throughout the US, many with their own Web sites or email addresses.
Big Little Railroad Shop	A dealer that we've personally dealt with for years. One of the first on-line shops. Order via the Web with confidence. Locate hard-to-find items.
Loy's Toys	Our source for everything DCC. Loy specializes in Digitrax and also manufactures his own excellent reverse loop controller.
Digitrax	Our DCC system is the Chief from Digitrax. Their site provides a wealth of information.
Kadee	Supplier of Magne-Matic® couplers and RTR cars.
