National Model Railroad Association (NMRA)

The Web pages of the National Model Railroad Association. The NMRA is the largest organization devoted to the development, promotion, and enjoyment of the hobby of model railroading. These web pages will tell you more about the NMRA: the benefits of membership for those interested in the model railroading hobby, how the NMRA is organized, where and when our upcoming conventions will be held, and how you can use the NMRA to further your enjoyment of model railroading.

Model Railroader Magazine

Another must visit site. Model Railroader, produced by Kalmbach Publishing Co., is the world's most popular model railroading magazine. Each monthly issue covers all popular scales with challenging how-to projects, visits to remarkable layouts, reviews of new products, and amazing color photos.

Mainline Modeler Articles

This page contains pointers to web versions of the series of articles on electronic control modules which were published in Mainline Modeler magazine beginning in October 1993. Many of the modules described in this series are available as kits or assembled and tested circuits from TracTronics Incorporated.

The Layout Design SIG

A small site publicizing the Layout Design Special Interest Group (SIG), a nonprofit educational organization that aids efforts to design and create layouts that achieve owners layout goals (with minimum space and cost), avoid common design flaws, and include prototypical and model design features that maximize operating and visual interest.
