The BSME is located at 1469 Silver Run Lane, less
than one mile from I-5 exit 240 (see the
Directions page for driving directions). The HO- and N-scale
layouts are housed in the former Alger Grange, adjacent to the Alger
Community Church. The 7.5-inch gauge outdoor railroad is located on
the church grounds, behind the BSME building.

There is ample free parking in the gravel lot
between the BSME building and the church, as well as overflow
parking on the surrounding grounds. Please note, however, that
during inclement weather, the grounds can become muddy. The building
is readily accessible via a covered ramp and restroom facilities are
available.
Work continues to progress on both our HO- and N-scale layouts. Visitors
are welcome on Thursday evenings, at which time we often run
trains as well as do regular maintenance and work on many new additions
to our layouts. The public is welcome to visit us on Thursday evenings,
to watch us build, or even lend a hand. There's
always lots of work to be done.
Members are usually present on Thursday evenings from
approximately 6:30pm until 10pm. Business meetings are conducted at 7:30pm
on the second Thursday of each month.
While our Thursday evening sessions are rather informal,
we also hold regular operating sessions, workshops, and
open houses. If you'd like to be kept
up-to-date on activities at the BSME, please sign up for our
Mailing List.
